Binyam TA Dear Gere Ze Ananiya: I guess I have answered this kind of question about 10 times. We must not confuse the subject between will and the Freewheel, There are HUNDREDS of places in the Scriptures which speak of will but NOT Freewheel, doing something, making a decision, choosing between two things, etc. Not even ONE of them has anything to do with “free” will. We figure out this entire Free Will thing is myth. I answer it in great detail after I first define what is meant by “free will” or “free choice.” Everyone has the ability to make choice, but that choice is based on S-O-M-E C-A-U-S-E, and that cause is what renders the choice to be not free.
God foresaw E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G in His creation BEFORE the creation. Therefore, nothing is “free” to go contrary to what God already knows MUST AND WILL BE! “For it is GOD which works in you both to WILL and to DO of His Good pleasure” (Phil. 2:13). We must first believe the Scriptures before we will be able to understand the Scriptures.
I asked many Brothers in Christ they all come up quoting the verse that indicates to will not Freewheel we must rethink and ask ” Where is Your definition of “Free Will” defined by God in the Bible??” there is not such thing as “free will,” and there certainly is not such words or concept as “free will” in the Bible, THERE IS NO F-R-E-E W-I-L-L IN THE BIBLE or anywhere else in the universe. God does not “define” things that do not exist. Only in religion do simple words lose their meaning make a chain out of it to bind the people of Gods.
Even same theologians admit that their free will theory is limited. So they have invented “limited free will.” They use analogies like a cow on a tether or a fly in a jar or a lion in a cage. Their freedom is limited to the confines of their restraints, but within those confines they are nonetheless, free. Is this true? Is there such a thing as “limited” free will? Or is this just more theological double-talk?
Man does not have “limited” free will. Otherwise God would have “limited” sovereignty. Man has no free will and God has total sovereignty. Theologians try to make high what is low and try to bring low what is high. These teachings do not glorify God.
Why is it that: “NO MAN CAN come to me unless the Father draw him….” (John 6:44), if he has a “free will” to come to Jesus?
Why is it that: “For it is GOD which works in you BOTH TO WILL AND TO DO of His good pleasure” (Phil. 2:13), if man has a “free will” to will and to do on his own power?
I used to think this stuff too, you make all your own choices and you think all your own thoughts, and you have a “will” to do so. What we don’t have, is a will that is F-R-E-E FROM C-A-U-S-A-L-I-T-Y to do these things. People will say things like: “What ever MADE you think that: or what ever MADE you do such and such.” There is your answer. We know inherently that there are reasons CAUSES for your thoughts and choices. You can’t make a choice that does not have a cause somewhere, and if something is caused to happen it could not have been otherwise. I teach the truths of God because this is just one way that God CAUSES people to see the truth [I Cor. 1:21]. The foolishness of teaching and preaching CAUSES people to see and understand and believe and act accordingly. It is not correct to state as you have that “God CONTROLS our every thought and action.” He does not need to “control” us, as He already knows far in advance exactly what we WILL DO AND THINK based on the conditions and circumstances of our individual lives.
It’s hard to answer all questions in this Myth of Free Will completely in one silver bullet or in detail, I have answered it over and over again in may a hundred emails over the years. GOD DOESN’T M-A-K-E YOU OR ANYONE DO ANYTHING. You VOLUNTEER!!!
